I was a teenager when I completed my first painting of Cuenca. Everytime I go to that beautiful city I spend hours in Ronda de Julián Romero. I have seen it and photographed it from every possible angle, at all hours of the day. I can trace the different ways the city council have paved the street, how many steps were added and how many eliminated.
There have been other cities, other streets, other arches. I could never sell my picture of the view of Toledo: I can walk its streets and name them, even though some disappeared a long time ago.
Venice captivated me as it has done to so many before me: water makes so much sense when it reflects the beauty above it!
